What is Henna?

Henna is a natural dye made from the leaves of the henna plant. It’s used to create temporary body art that can last from 1 to 3 weeks depending on skin type and care.

Do you offer Black Henna, White Henna, Jagua or other colored Henna?

No. We use organic natural henna only.

Are Henna and Mehndi Same?

Henna is the paste of dried or green leaves of a henna tree. The final product derived from henna is called Mehndi. However, the Arabian name for mehndi is henna. Indians call it mehndi.

How long does henna last?

Henna designs typically last 7–10 days. The color is darkest in the first few days and gradually fades as the skin exfoliates. The more you wash your hands, the faster it comes off.

Is henna safe?

Yes! Your safety and skin health are my top priority. I mix my own fresh henna paste for every single client using only organic henna powder and high-quality essential oils (such as eucalyptus or lavender). My paste is 100% natural and free from harmful chemicals or PPD.

How should I prepare for my henna session?

Clean and exfoliate the area where the henna will be applied. Avoid lotions or oils right before your appointment for the best stain.

Do you sell henna cones?

Yes, we sell fresh natural henna cones. Its two cones for $12. We require a 3 hour heads-up prior to picking-up the cones. The fresh henna cones are available for pick-up at our Charlotte studio. We do not ship cones. Order fresh henna cones here.

How do I care for my henna design?

• Keep the paste on as long as possible (8 hours for best results).
   

• Avoid water for the first 24 hours.
   

• Apply natural oils like coconut, mustard, or olive oil to protect and extend the design.

• Stay warm.

Where are you located?

We are based in Charlotte, NC by SouthPark area, and offer both in-studio and on-site henna services for parties and events. We travel all over North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and all of Southeast and International for henna events.
