Hi, I’m Isha, the founder of Isha’s Henna Art, a professional henna artist based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Welcome to Isha's Henna Art.

With over 26 years of experience, I specialize in bridal henna, wedding henna, henna parties, and corporate event henna across Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas, including South Carolina, Georgia, and beyond.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, my journey with henna began at the age of 14, when I trained under renowned Bollywood henna artist Usha Shah in Mumbai, India. This foundation shaped my signature style—blending traditional Indian henna designs with modern, elegant patterns tailored to each client and occasion.

Today, I provide on-site henna services in Charlotte, NC, bringing a unique and interactive experience to weddings, bridal showers, birthday parties, cultural celebrations, and corporate events. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or a large-scale event, I create custom designs that elevate your celebration and leave a lasting impression.

Since 2015, I have also traveled nationally and internationally for destination weddings and events, serving clients across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and throughout the U.S., as well as Canada and Mexico. I’m available to travel to your venue, making your special event seamless and memorable with beautiful, long-lasting henna art.

Natural Henna Stain

The Henna designs are drawn on skin with the wet paste. The henna paste will need to be left on for several hours to dry and stain the skin.

Once the dry paste is removed after few hours, the stain will be a vibrant orange. This is temporary, because the henna will actually oxidize over the 48 hours with the proper aftercare. It will eventually deepen to a reddish-brown to brown-black color.

Henna last on the skin for 1-2 weeks.

Natural henna is extremely safe, and has been used both decoratively and therapeutically for thousands of years.

It’s extremely rare for someone to have an adverse reaction to henna.

We DO NOT offer black henna, white henna or any form of chemical henna.

About Our Henna:

Henna is a plant with leaves that are harvested, dried and ground into a powder. We use 100% organic henna. Our henna paste is made fresh every time with following ingredients:

Organic Henna powder
Lemon juice
Water
Sugar
Essential oils (Eucalyptus, Lavendar, Cajeput and Clove oils)

We use 100% organic henna only.
